The TASHCO Young Artists Festival String and Piano recital is an opportunity for piano and string students of all ages and abilities to showcase their work and receive written feedback from a judge on their performance. The recital will take place on Saturday April 18, 2020 at 1:00 pm (time is subject to change) in the Rosa Auditorium on the Skyview Campus (8990 York Street, Thornton, CO). Students may perform one or two memorized selections with a maximum total performance time of five minutes. Folk, jazz, classical, and contemporary music are all welcome. Participants are invited to give a brief introduction to their musical selection/s by sharing their name, the name of their piece/s and composer/s, and a little background on their selection/s. Background can include information about the composer, the type of piece, the time period, what you like about the piece, etc. Registration is $15 and is due April 14.
*Students who register for the piano and string competitions, but do not make it into the final competition after auditioning are welcome to participate in the non-competitive recitals at no extra cost.
IMPORTANT: As you register the first name should be the credit card holder. The second name should be the student.
