Dart Volunteer Info

Volunteer information for the Dart for the Arts on Saturday, September 16

The Dart is a small event.  We usually have about 50 runners and 25 volunteers!

Students over 12 years old can volunteer.  Those younger may volunteer with a parent.  This is a fun way for students to earn community service hours.

Time commitment is 2-4 hours, depending on assignment.

Set up – is 6 to 8 am in the parking lot south of the multipurpose fields at Carpenter Park in Thornton.

During the event – Most volunteers are needed here.  There are a variety of volunteer positions during the event.  Plan to arrive at the start/finish area by 8 am and stay until 10:30-11:00.  The start/finish area is off of 108th and Colorado Blvd.  Follow the signs to parking.  Volunteers out on the course are free to go when the last runner goes by.  I’ll send an email with volunteer assignments once I have everyone’s contact information.  I can also let you know where you’re needed when you arrive Saturday morning.

Tear down – after the medals and giveaways, probably around 11:00-11:30.  It will take about an hour at most!

If you are interested in volunteering, we need your name, email address, and T size sent to Pam Luhrs at (paluhrs@aol.com) before 9/5 if possible so I can have a bright and colorful volunteer T made for you.  If you are interested in volunteering for set up or tear down only, indicate that when you send me your information.

Again, I will send more detailed information when I have a list of where each volunteer is stationed. If you have questions about volunteering, please email Pam Luhrs at paluhrs@aol.com.
